Something I hate

Posting and never getting any feedback.
It happens on my writing list.
It happens here.
It's part of why I quit blogging before.
I feel like I'm talking to myself.
Like there's no one who gives a damn about what I think or what I write.
I mean, I like expressing myself.
I'll probably continue anyway for the hell of it.
At least for a little while.
But it irks me.
Some days I feel like I could fall off the face of the earth and no one would give a damn.

Halloween parties

So, it was Halloween party weekend. This picture was taken last year when I visited with my daughter in Philadelphia. The blonde hair was died red and the fangs were SO realistic. My sexy vampire. (rather anemic glass of blood there though)

This year, I understand she was a pixie. Looking forward to pictures of that costume. I have a picture of this year's hair, black and blue, and know that the costume was black and silver. Also that she had gray contacts to change her eye color. Laura and her brother both go all out for Halloween. If I'm not mistaken, Joe was a vamp last year too. This year, last I heard, he was going as a zombie-ish creature.

Seems appropriate that this is one of their favorite holidays given my own interest in Gothic horror vampires, werewolves, and the like. Hey, maybe Lars was toasting our favorite vampire in this pic...

Cheers John. After all, she's a self-proclaimed Frid kid.

Feet on the Rocks

No, not sex on the beach...feet on the rocks.
Yes, there's a story to this picture. You see, the girls and I have been on both coasts this year. Earlier this summer we were in California, on the beach, and took the classic shot of our bare feet in the sand. So...needless to say, we had to do the obligatory shot marking the time on the east coast. Sorry, too cool and rocky for bare tootsies. And since our friend Wanda (who was behind the original shot) could not be with us, it seemed a cool way to tell her we were thinking of her.

In case you wonder, it's Sally, me, and Evelyn clockwise from 12 o'clock.
Yes, the three musketeers you saw 'lifting spirits' in a prior post.

In case I haven't mentioned it, I love these gals. They're like sisters to me. And if we're sisters, then I'm technically a great aunt now since Sally's daughter just had a baby girl last week. Hey, can't be an aunt unless you have a sister or brother and I have neither biologically. But, as we say in our group, after the age of twenty you should be allowed to adopt your family. And if that's the case, I have a dozen sisters, a load of nieces and nephews, and a couple of additional moms. Not a bad deal in my book.
